THE 30TH CHART YEAR
A Brief Explanation: Long ago I chose to incorporate what I call 'Chart Years' into The MBG Top 40. Each year, the new chart year begins on Sunday of the first week of November and runs through Saturday of the last week of October. All singles which made their debut within those dates become eligible for the Top Hits for that chart year; 156 singles qualified during the 1999 chart year.
